If your battery is draining fast in between charges, there may be some simple things that you can do to help reduce this problem and extend your time in between charge cycles. Here they are:
1) Background App Refresh-Go into your settings and make sure that you don’t have apps that are running background refreshes constantly on your phone. Some apps, such as your mail server, may be required to do this, but not all apps do. You can turn this off in settings.
2) Location Services-Usually when you install a new app, they will ask you if you will allow location services to run either 1) never allow 2) allow while using the app only 3) allow all the time. Make sure that only the apps you want to have your location are running all the time otherwise this will also drain your battery.
3) Auto Brightness and Screen Lock- Make sure that the auto brightness feature is enabled so that the maximum brightness isn’t set to the highest setting at all times. This will affect your battery. If you have auto-brightness enabled, then it will adjust the brightness depending on the light in the room or outside. The screen lock setting should also be set to under 5 minutes so that the screen doesn’t stay on while you are not using it for long periods of time, also affecting battery health.
